AC Shadows Introduces Unexpected Attack on Titan Collaboration for Holiday Season
In a unexpected collaboration that challenges traditional forecasts, the game developer has announced an in-game collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, offering complimentary extra story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Mission Revealed
According to the authorized release, "A mysterious encounter draws characters Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where hints of banned practices and fearsome transformations reverberate through the shadows." The storyline presents a "oddly dressed woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a important location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her companion from a hidden cult.
The adventure focuses on "bizarre experiments and a monstrous foe" and is accessible to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Locations and Changes
The trailer highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The trailer ends with a powerful sequence showing a character, likely the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Rewards and Bonus Material
Players who accomplish the quest will obtain an exclusive katana in addition to several items concealed throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

This update also brings the game's third free story content, titled "A Puzzlement."
